Cottage Home Theatre Design in the Haliburton Highlands
The Haliburton Highlands have hundreds of lakes and cottages that are quieter and further from the city than Muskoka. Families who come up for longer stays, or who now work from the cottage, want a proper place to watch films when the weather turns.
Cottage Home Theatres
Who can design a home theatre room for my cottage in Haliburton Highlands?
Zebra can. We are an independent home cinema design practice based in Barrie. We design cottage theatres, specify the equipment, and manage the installer on your behalf.
What shapes a cottage theatre in Haliburton Highlands
Internet decides how you watch
Wired internet doesn't reach many Haliburton lakes, and satellite connections vary with the weather and the season. A theatre that relies only on streaming can let you down on a busy weekend. We plan for a mix: streaming when the connection allows it, and a local movie server or downloaded films in full quality for when it doesn't.
Built to be left alone
Cottages in the Highlands often sit empty for weeks. We specify equipment that copes with temperature swings and a simple shutdown and opening routine for the theatre, and we mark which parts must stay heated.
One plan, fewer site trips
Every trip from the city costs a day. We settle the design in detail before work starts, so the integrator arrives with the right equipment and finishes in as few visits as possible.
