🎬 What inspires the visual language of a film? I recently had the pleasure of speaking with juanmi azpiroz , cinematographer of the Netflix film The Rip, about the craft behind the camera. During our conversation we discussed the creative influences that shape a film’s visual identity — from lighting and composition to the emotional atmosphere that cinematography can create. One particularly interesting moment was Juanmi’s love of classic film noir. He explained how the dramatic use of shadow and contrast from that era continues to influence modern filmmaking — and how, at one stage, The Rip could almost have been imagined as a black-and-white film noir. For anyone interested in cinematography, filmmaking or visual storytelling, it was a fascinating discussion. 🎬 Watch the full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/gcerzUvf Juanmi Azpiroz https://lnkd.in/gg7zu_Pt
