Home Cinema Installation in Birmingham & the West Midlands

From our UK office in Little Aston, Zebra has designed and delivered home cinemas and media rooms across Birmingham and the Midlands: an eight-seat loft cinema in Solihull, a triple garage conversion with cinema, bar and games room in Barnt Green, a Lyngdorf media lounge in Walsall and a Steinway Lyngdorf media room in Shropshire.

Why an Independent Advisor

Why Birmingham & West Midlands Homeowners Choose an Independent Cinema Advisor

Homeowners across Birmingham, Solihull and the wider Midlands who are building, extending or refurbishing and want a cinema room, media room or converted garage or loft designed properly from the start, with independent oversight of the installers who build it.

Zebra is a purely advisory practice — no equipment sales, no installation work. We translate your vision into a specification, coordinate the trade-only specialists who execute the build, and stay with you from first conversation to final calibration. The result is a room engineered around your priorities, not anyone else's.

Our Role

What Zebra Does (And Doesn't Do)

We DO

Sit on Your Side of the Table

Purely advisory — no equipment sales, no installation work. Your vision, your budget, your timeline — protected throughout the entire process.

We DO

Protect Your Budget

Detailed specifications, competitive bidding, and rigorous oversight ensure every dollar works toward the result you envisioned.

We DON'T

Sell Equipment or Swing Hammers

We never sell equipment or pick up tools: vetted trade integrators carry out the installation while we hold them to the specification. That independence is what makes our guidance trustworthy.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Who installs home cinemas in Birmingham?
Zebra designs and specifies home cinemas across Birmingham and the West Midlands, then appoints and oversees a vetted trade integrator to install them. You get an independent designer on your side of the table and a specialist installation team, rather than a single company marking up the equipment it recommends.
Where in the Midlands have you completed projects?
Completed projects include a loft cinema in Solihull, a triple garage conversion and a lounge-bar media room for the same client in Barnt Green, a Lyngdorf media lounge in Walsall, a garage cinema and loft cinema in Aldridge, a Steinway Lyngdorf media room in Shrewsbury and a cinema snug in Loughborough.
How much does a home cinema cost in the West Midlands?
Costs from our own Midlands projects: the Walsall media lounge was £10,000 for the AV, £4,200 for Control4 and blinds and £1,200 for installation; the Solihull loft cinema was £31,200 for construction, AV and installation plus £25,000 for fabric walls, star ceiling and blinds; the Shrewsbury Steinway Lyngdorf room was £145,500 for the AV.
Do you work with architects and interior designers in Birmingham?
Yes. The Solihull loft cinema was designed with associate Rachel Reid Interiors, including structural changes such as moving a door to make room for the screen wall. The earlier we join the design team, the better the cinema sits inside the wider build.
Can you convert a garage into a cinema room in the Midlands?
Yes. In Barnt Green a triple garage became a cinema with eight motorised tiered seats, a bar, a games room, a plant room and a WC. In Aldridge a double garage became a dedicated Dolby Atmos cinema built as a room within a room to keep sound away from the bedroom above.
